Some days feel better than others. Sometimes I find it harder to practice the principles of spiritual living. Today was one of those days.
While the day proved very productive with my ‘to-do’ list, stressors from a family relationship reared their energies again. I found I had to bite my tongue once again in order to maintain the peace. Sometimes I wonder how healthy that really is. Yet once I vented on a sympathetic ear, I felt a little better.
Returning to an inner calm is more important than calling someone on their ignorance or being right. So now I look at the pictures of Abby playing with her toy or hiding in the tub, and a shift in my thinking occurs. I begin to feel that inner calm I so cherish.
What helps you to re-create your inner peace after a difficult day or a stressing situation?
