I appreciate simplicity — the smell of a rose, the beauty of a sunrise, the chorus of the morning songbirds as they usher in a new day. I enjoy the many things that tickle my senses including the brush of wind as it tussles my hair and the warmth of the sun as it nourishes my body with Vitamin D.
There’s just something so natural and glorious about the radiance of flowers as they display their true colors in all their splendor and simplicity. It’s like their colors tickle the rods and cones in your eyes to bring a part of its pure essence into your very soul.
Simplicity surrounds us, yet many of us fail to make the time to see it, smell it, touch it, taste it or listen to it.
The rewards of absorbing that simplicity far exceed any monetary compensation we can ever gain. Those rewards provide a sense of peace and a freedom from the cares that tend to dampen our spirits.
The gifts of simplicity are available to us every moment of every day. We just need to unwrap that gift by opening our awareness throughout the day.
What will you do today and tomorrow with your gift?
