Today’s bike ride to the lake was filled with dewy moisture and fog once I came off Summit Hill where the sun was shining brightly.
Can you guess why lies beyond the fog in this meadow? Probably not, unless you’re a Chunker (from Mauch Chunk/Jim Thorpe). Is it a lake? Is it a continuation of the meadow? Is it a forest, a building or a black hole?
It seems sometimes we live our lives not venturing into the fog, not looking to see what possibilities lie ahead. We fear the unknown, and that fear limits us.
Are you willing to look beyond the fog?
(If you’re curious, beyond the fog lies a meadow below the earthen breast of the dam at Mauch Chunk Lake Park. The woods lie to the left and behind the fog while beyond the breast on the right lies a 2 1/2 mile man-made watershed. See the main picture in my blog (www.kathyruff1959.blogspot.com) for what that view shows.)
