“None of us will ever accomplish anything excellent or commanding except when he listens to the whisper which is heard by him alone.” (Ralph Waldo Emerson 1803-1882)
This is a picture of Suzi sitting on a bench located at a little spot in the middle of nowhere on their property in Tioga. While Sarge meanders down the trail in search of something that roams, Suzi takes a moment to enjoy a little quiet time. What value and refreshment comes from such a few moments!
I usually take a little quiet time each morning, whether at a spot off the trail, at the breast of the dam or in a recliner in a part of my office reserved for morning reading.
It’s during those quiet times that, if we’re open to it, we hear the whispers from within that guide us along the paths we’re meant to follow.
When do you give yourself a quiet time to hear the whispers from within?
