“They come, they go. They seldom know what they do, but they do change you.” Laurence Craig Green, ‘From the Love of…’
This picture was taken last week on the East Side of Jim Thorpe from the road between the two cemeteries. I thought about all the people I once knew who were buried there — Barb, Nancy, Bottsie, to name a few. Each of them holds a different place in my memory, a place that has changed my life, even if just a little.
Barb showed me how to live in the moment. Nancy taught me the value of health and love of family. Bottsie shared her love of simple things. People come and go in and out of our lives all the time.
I’ve learned to value the relationships, no matter how short in duration they may be.
Who — dead or alive — has changed your life, and how?
