It never fails to amaze me how we tend to look at the surface of things and never look behind the scenes, never see the “whole” picture as we walk along the path of life.
Yet when we finally become aware and look, we see how obvious those things always were.
This picture shows a typical October day at the Mauch Chunk Lake. It was warm and gorgeous.
While this picture captures what appeared before my eyes and the camera, it doesn’t convey the warmth of the sun, the cool, fresh air or the sounds of the birds singing from their nests in the trees.
If you look closer, you can see ripples in the water, evidence of the wind as it moved unseen at the moment the camera captured.
Carpe diem…I challenge everyone to look beyond what appears to be to enjoy life to its fullest.
