I was on my way to church Sunday morning, driving along Lentz Trail. My eyes always look at the lake as I drive by, but this day another view caught my eye.
What is it about rays of sunlight coming through the trees and fog that captures my eyes and my heart?
Sometimes I think of life like this picture. There’s a bit of darkness and a little ambiguity. Move a few inches in another direction or wait just a little bit longer and the light illuminates your sight and the darkness and fog disappears.
This picture, like the fog, disappeared from the ‘screen’ shortly after it was shot. That, too, is like life. Enjoy the beauty of the present moment before it’s gone.
The sun is the source. Our eyes and cameras catch the view. Our thoughts add other layers of meaning. The key is to see the beauty of everything in the present moment.
