Did you make a New Year’s resolution this year? Have you kept it to date?
I made a resolution to make no resolutions. Cute, huh? But I guess I already broke it because I made a goal — is that a resolution?? — to write one blog entry a week.
Okay, so I messed up my resolution. Now the pressure’s off.
Can I keep my goal to write one blog entry a week? I’m trying, but I’m cheating a little. I can write more than one entry when I feel so inspired and schedule them for the next week. That’s what I’ve done for January but the essence of my goal remains — writing something inspirational to share with others.
So today I’ve met the first of twelve parts of my goal. How invigorating is that? How motivating! How inspiring!
Now I feel as if I want to do more. Isn’t that a lovely consequence of meeting the first part of my goal? Imagine doing that for another goal or desire, one at a time!
With the weatherman predicting below freezing temps, today that goal is to stay warm. I’ll try to think of the day I took the picture above. It was an early-spring reminder winter wanted to hang on, the days when you know the snow will not last long. Hey, that’s right around the corner since winter’s half over! Enjoy your day!
