Good or bad?

This morning there’s a fresh coating of snow outside, a blanket of white that covers the salt, dirt and cinders left over after the last snowfall (or in our case, ice!).
For a little while everything appears new, clean, fresh.
But what I will call dirt remains underneath and will undoubtedly attract more as municipal and/or state workers clear the way so we can be safe in our travels.  It has its purpose.  The snow has its purpose, too, as it will eventually melt and water the earth.
We all have perceptions on whether the snow and the dirt are good or bad or partly both.  They both have pros and cons.  In the end, we learn it is what it is.  We can accept it and deal with it or we can moan, groan and be frustrated…the choice is ours since we’ve all been given the gift of free will.
Imagine the peace we might feel each day if we accepted and dealt what life throws at us. No, it may not be easy at times but the reward is worth the effort.
