What new things have you tried?

Squash

My peas, carrots, lima beans, peppers and radishes also have pushed through the soil in the past two weeks.

My black beauty zucchini squash loved the recent rains we’ve had.  The blossoms pushed open, creating the start of what will soon be my summer harvest.

This is my first year for this, so it’ll be something different for me to try.

I found a few recipes online including Blueberry Zucchini Bread and Zucchini Brownies.  I think I’ll try these two since I LOVE blueberries and chocolate.  Yummm……

Trying something new seems easier as we age.  I think that could be because we get tired of the same old stuff. We look for something new to make for supper or to do on a Sunday afternoon.  We try veggies we detested when we were young but now they taste different.  We seek excitement in our taste buds and quality in our friendships.  We get tired of vegging in front of the TV and hit the trails for a walk or bike ride.

I’m setting up another girls’ night out and will try to win a round of miniature golf.  Depending on where we go, I ma even try racing a go-cart!  I want to enjoy the moments of my life.  I want to try what I feel called to try, whether it’s making squash brownies, creating a calendar or writing a book.

What new things have you tried recently?  I’d love to hear what others have done that has created a little excitement in their taste buds or their days.
