The darkness of the night before gives way to the light of a brand new day.
Today is the last day of the first half of 2015. Tomorrow will be the start of the final six months of the year.
How have you started your mornings for the last six months? Have you pursued those things about which you’re passionate? Have you enjoyed each day, or some a little more than others?
I don’t know about you, but the time between Jan. 1 and today seemed to go by in the blink of an eye. The days, weeks and months slip by so much more quickly now than when I was young. I wonder why that is. Is it because we put more busy work and activity into that time? Maybe; maybe not.
All I know is I can’t change the past, but I can start this day anew. How did I start today? I did a new Qi Gong DVD, planned my work day and wrote this blog (creating inner calm, organizing my work flow and finishing the accomplishment of six months of a commitment to a once-a-week blog). Tomorrow it may be something else. If I didn’t do any of those things, I would not have done what I consider most important to me.
Now I feel inspired to move forward being productive, fulfilled and relaxed as the sun heightens in the eastern skies.
How will you start your day?
I am one of those morning people who wake up before the sun comes up. Of course, going to sleep around 9 pm helps. The morning makes me feel more optimistic than the night before, and I go to my computer to read and write. I don’t even need caffeine to get me going. Since I’m retired, I don’t have to rush to a job or other obligations. Morning is my best hour.
