Blah…blah…blah…

Watershed Peace

Sometimes the world becomes an overwhelming place.

Time runs from one day into another…work never ends…sleep becomes restless…focus wanes.

When I seem to only hear, “Blah…blah…blah…”, meaningless conversations seem to add to the predicament.

I wonder what the world would be like if we could hear no voices for 24 hours.  I wonder if that 24 hours would be peaceful or stressful.  I wonder if we could only hear the sounds of nature — wind, water, birds, bees — would we feel the same way?

For me, camping is as close as it gets to that feeling, especially in the early-morning hours when no one’s awake yet (except me!).  The birds sing; the breeze rustles the leaves; a squirrel meanders among the foliage.

Somehow those natural sounds drown out the “Blah…blah…blah…” and chaos settles down.

Now, blah…blah…blah…blah…blah…blah.  I’m ready for the sounds of silence…how about you?
