Shark at the Lake!

Shark at the lake

We encountered this cute, four-legged ‘shark’ on one of our recent outings.

But I guess the shark you expected to see wasn’t a Dachshund on a boat wearing a shark fin vest, was it?

Bet my title got your attention, didn’t it?

I wanted to sensationalize the reality, and I added an exclamation point to hammer in the point.  Copywriters make a living crafting titles and words to get your attention, to sell you something, to educate you or to sway your point of view.

Shark!!

               Shark!!

With the presidential elections coming up in November, I just wanted to remind you not to believe everything you hear.  Everybody’s vying for attention, trying to sway you to get your vote, when reality may not be what you’re led to believe.

If you’re going to vote this year, please don’t base your decision on hyperbole, misconceptions or misperceptions.  Do your due diligence and find out what you really want to know about a candidate instead of what others want you to think.

Take this concept into all other areas of your life and you’ll find yourself living the way you want to live, not the way others believe you should.

Watch…there’s a shark in the lake!! 🙂
