There’s something about the change of seasons that gives me a more mellow outlook.
The leaves begin to change color, leaving behind the summer greens, warmer temps and abundant daylight.
It’s like winding down before going to sleep at night. You change into your pajamas and leave the daytime chores, errands and events behind. Your mind and body begin to mellow, anticipating the slumber ahead.
The natural course of each season and day appear right on cue. We put behind the summer outdoor activities such as swimming and kayaking (sniff, sniff) as the longer daylight slips into later sunrises and earlier sunsets.
While summer’s heat dwindles, fall’s crisper air offers opportunities such as walking without combating heat or bugs. Biking on the trails puts color in your cheeks like that caused by sitting on the beach during the summertime.
Each season offers its pros and cons but everything works out exactly as it’s meant to be. Take pleasure in the change of season.
