Hi!

Spring FlowersHi!

Yesterday when I went shopping, a very stressful undertaking these days, I passed by a lady I thought I knew.  It was hard to tell because of the mask over her face, but I said ‘Hi’ anyway.  She returned the greeting.

But then, she turned around after she had passed by and thanked me for saying hello.  She said she had said hello to many people as she shopped and I was the only one who had spoken to her.  I have to assume everyone else was caught up in the stresses of the moment, focused on and trying to get the groceries for which they came.  I turned around and thanked her, too.

That simple interaction of a ‘Hi’ bolstered my faith in the continuing compassion and kindness remaining in humanity.  That ‘Hi’ (Holy Instant) gave me a sense of peace, love and joy I had not felt in the public for what seems a VERY long time.  It reinforced my deep-down belief in the eternal connection we share and the peace, love and joy we can all experience despite the chaos around us.

All it took was a ‘Hi’, an instant, to step out of the chaos and into a mindset and world of community, kindness, love and peace that was there all along.  One powerful instant.  It was easy, natural, memorable and impactful.

That one instant is the same one we all have right now.  We make the choice in this instant what we will do or won’t do, what we will say or not say, how we will act and how we interpret the world around us.

We don’t always know or think about how what we do or say (or not do or not say) affects others.  Thank you, fellow shopper, for making a difference in my outlook, stress factor and faith.  Thank you for sharing your Light, Spirit and Compassion despite the overpowering feelings of fear and chaos felt by so many others around us.

Imagine the ripple effect of such a simple courtesy, as if it could spread as easily and effortlessly as this pandemic virus.  It can.  Imagine feeling better because of a ‘Hi’ or a smile (with your eyes over the mask).

Be a Lightworker, like this shopper, and share your Light, Love, Compassion, Kindness, Patience, Courtesy, etc., etc. with all who cross your path, whether in person or online.  Imagine an Easter rebirth of the Light shining through us all in every instant, resurrecting the love, peace and joy inherent within us.

Happy Easter!
